I do think everyone's experiences are difference so would be hard to get a good judge on them all, I had my son at lgi and having this one there too, they were always great they only part I didn't like was being on the ward in labour waiting for delivery I felt like they were fed up of me cos I kept saying how much pain I was in and they said I had to wait. Other than that everything else was great xx
I had my little girl at LGI and they were amazing from rushing us in when my waters broke to all the care during labour and making the final and important decision to deliver her via emergency C-section which was incredible. When she was born they were fantastic, always on hand to give me pain medicine and amazing with baby and all her needs too. I've heard Jimmy's is really good too. I've heard from a number of local mum's that Bradford is not so good and would definitely go elsewhere for another pregnancy. Hope this helps your decision xx
Thank you so much for the comments ladies ❤️
I had my son at LGI nearly 4 years ago, this was as an elective c section and everything went well with that. I felt the after care was mostly good however I was discharged when not properly breastfeeding and no one was listening To me, they just wanted me out! I ended up having to be readmitted to hospital the next day as my son had lost so much weight in a short space of time as it turns out I was right and he wasn’t feeding after all. I’m due to have an elective c section again in 3 weeks but this time at St James’, so will be able to give you a direct comparison at that point if you want 😅
I had everything up to my c section at LGI then because i have a planned C-section in the end and it was close to my due date I had to go to jimmys and they were fab! Couldn’t fault them at all! I was out by 12 midday the day after he was born! The staff were brilliant xx
5 star for LGI, had my boy last year there and the midwives were super amazing. Especially one called Grace Goland, she was my angel in the labour ward. My delivery nurse was amazing.
@Jen good luck with your next birth lovely, sending positive thoughts hope everything goes well ❤️ you don’t have to update you will be busy I’m sure 😅xx
I've had both my babies at lgi and I dont have a bad word to say about the experience at all but I went to St James once and I will never go back there again
Wen my oldest was born she was born at jimmies my youngest soon to be middle was a home delivery and ended up at lgi as she was prem and I’m booked into lgi with my baby I’m carrying now lgi was good couldn’t fault them xx
Amazing thanks everyone ❤️good luck with everything I might see you in LGI at some point! X
I had my little boy at lgi in dec. The majority were brilliant the students inperticular were great. The only issue i really had was discharge/coming home. Id been told all day on the mon i was being discharged by the head midwife. She did nothing just said i was on a list. Then when the night staff came on and i started asking about times i was going home etc they were blank so i had to wait until the next day
