I delivered at Los Robles. I had a scheduled induction that they had to push back a few times, due to others coming in overnight in active labor, but once I was admitted I had a great experience. I ended up having a c-section and spent 5 days there over the Thanksgiving holiday. They had a skeleton crew working, but I wouldn’t have known had they not told me. Everyone was so so nice and helpful.
I gave birth @ Los Robles in December and it was great! Unfortunately, I had a c section and I was not happy about it but the nurse on call made me feel really good about it. After the surgery I went to the mom/baby wing I don’t remember what it’s actually called and I stayed there for a whole week! The night nurses were the best tbh cause they were so sweet and really taught me alot because I’m a ftm and knew absolutely nothing! The day nurses were nice too but I felt like they didn’t check in as much as the night nurses! No one was ever annoyed with me calling them over and over again which I appreciated it and overall my experience was amazing and I would totally give birth there again ❤️ idk what to add but feel free to ask anything! :)
@Bailey why did you have to have a c se ton of you don’t mind me asking
I had a vaginal birth at Los Robles last summer! Overall nurses were super nice and I loved the staff but while I was in labor I was ready to push very quickly and there was NO doctor available, so I had to wait to push for 15 minutes for doctors and nicu team and it was horrible to wait. I think there’s staffing issue but otherwise had a great experience!
@Kylah I don’t mind at all girl! And I was dilating fast, faster than I thought but my son’s heart rate dropped twice which I believe was from the pitocin so they stopped the pitcoin but when his heart rate dropped a third time my doc said she had a rule of three and she didn’t want it to get time for me to push and they have to do an emergency c section so she decided to do a c section. I was 8 cm dilated and the nurse there spoke up for me said let’s wait a little see if she can push cause she knew I didn’t want a c section and tried to get the doctor to wait but once his heart rate dropped that third time my doc wasn’t having it and we went immediately into the c section! My anesthesiologist was great and once my son came out I told my bf to go with the baby and he held my hand the whole time and told me about his kids and his wife birth etc., it was really scary but everyone was super supportive
@Bailey got it! Just wasent sure if it was something they were pushing just because Some hospitals do that! Anyways sounds like you had a great experience!! Congrats momma
@Kylah yesss I have heard the same thing! It definitely wasn’t that type of situation thank god I would have cursed somebody out lol & thank you girl 😊
Just had our son at the end of March at Los Robles. Ended up having an emergency c section and was there 5 days. All the staff were SO AMAZING.
I’ve heard great things about the labor and delivery teams at Los Robles! I delivered at ucla and if I decide to have another baby, I actually will probably go to Los Robles. I don’t know anyone who delivered at Tarzana so I can’t comment on their L&D experience
I delivered in March at Los Robles and it was amazing! Had an induction and within 10 hours of going into active labor I had our little girl- everyone was so great as I came in worried about the whole process being a FTM. Highly recommend delivering there 👍🏻
Delivered naturally at Los Robles back in oct 2021. Great team and would go there again if I have a second. I did have a scheduled induction and they were patient with me to not push a c section seeing it took me days to fully dilate. I was able to deliver naturally which was very important to me.
Dr Weiss at Los Robles is literally the best! Husband was born at Tarzana but that was 40’years ago lol although his mum did have trouble with nurses
I gave birth to both my babies naturally at Tarzana. One nurse told me I was the only mom who didn't have a c-section in the whole wing. I think they push inductions and csections unnecessarily and it sounds like Los Robles is the same. I would do a home birth if I have another baby. Watch the documentary Business of Being Born, it gives you a good look into what these doctors push and why. Good luck!
