Does dilation mean mucus plug already came out

I'm dilated 1cm with no mucus plug. Does that mean it already came out ?

I was 3cm dilated when I went for a stretch and sweep. Didn’t lose my mucus plug before then.

Nope

@Madison yes you can dilate before losing your plug.

Honestly, I didn't even notice when mine came out. Like it's just extra sticky discharge, so if you're really oblivious like me it's possible you missed it

I lost my mucus plug at 1.5-2 cm dilation, but it wasn't a single discharge... And it happened after a cervical check by my OB/GYN, so I feel like it kick-started more dilation

My mucus plug (bloody) came out around 2-3 days before my waters have broke. Had my daughter at 40 weeks and 2 days

I was 1cm and no mucus plug, didn’t lose it until I had a sweep

Nope, I was 4cm with my son and had only lost a tiny bit didn’t loose the rest until I was in full blown labour at 8/9cm. Currently 2cm dilated with this baby & haven’t lost any, just had a sweep and still haven’t lost a lot, no bloody show etc

I lost my mucus plug like 4 days ago and still waiting for something else to happen. 38 weeks
