We are going through this at the minute with one of my twins waking up and not sure if it’s a regression and we think he has more back teeth coming through and has been screaming inconsolable it’s hard work we have to take him out the room or he will wake my other twin up . Maybe a regression ???
Probably it’s a sleep regression, my baby sleeps in her room since she’s 6 months but when she turned 10 she stated waking up 3-4 times crying during the night, I just used to go and pick her up until she was asleep, after 3 nights of picking her up I started just holding her hand through the crib to show her I was there (I never let her cry during a sleep regression even if it means I will look like a zombie the next day for not sleeping lol) after 3 nights I just used to seat on the floor and she started going to sleep by herself again, now she’s 12 months and she’s sleeping amazing.
How much daytime sleep is he getting and how long are awake windows?
@Alicia he wakes at 7.30/8 naps from 12/12.30 for 1.5 hours. We start bedtime routine at 7 and he is sleeping by 8
I would experiment a bit with the length of your nap and possibly reducing it, even 15-30 minutes couple help. If that doesn’t work, you may need to extend you last wake window a bit.
I'm in the same boat pretty much. My 17mo old has always had trouble sleeping. Sometimes she fights to go to sleep, but always wakes multiple times a night. She's a very restless sleeper. Just saw a sleepy medicine Dr and she had blood work done to check her iron level. It's really low! At a 13. Dr said for optimal sleep, it needs to be around 50-70 hoping once we get her levels up she will sleep more soundly. Just a thought for your little one to maybe have that checked!
