shave before c-section?

I used hair removal cream a few days before I just clear the area. Didn’t fancy stubble coming through my bandage. Worked a treat.

I had a wax the week before, then they shaved a little bit with electric clippers on the day

Yes I had mine 3 weeks ago and they shave the area of the incision

Yes if they think its too long to operate without ut getting in the way x

I had an emergency c-section and I wasn't shaved, although the incision is practically on my stomach rather than pubic area😂 I personally would just leave it alone, if they need to whip it off they will x

Emergency c They looked and said like didn’t need shaving and believe me it had not being done in a while 😬 I was intending to do it before I went in 😂

Emergency c-section and I was shaved! They were real nice and I was numb anyway so wouldn’t have known, it’s nice and tucked away now!

I couldn't see my feet nevermind shave 😂 i honestly have no idea if they shave you. Honestly dont worry about it, theyve seen it all x

This confuses me because my scar is in the normal place but it sits right above my pubic area but there is still almost an inch of space until my hair naturally starts 🤷🏼‍♀️. Im "grown" atm as almost 10 weeks pregnant again and cba 😅

This didn't even occur to me 😂 I had to have an emergency section but I had shaved a week or 2 before hand but I'm not sure if they shaved me

@Caz I guess maybe it depends where your hair grows to! Mine is really low down and it sits at the top of my pubic region and hair grows out of the scar🤣

@Summer yeh maybe! Although i might have found out the reason, i think they went a smidge higher with mine to avoid cutting my lower hip tattoo actually 😁, they did such a good job too!

My scar is right at the top of my pubic growth, so some hair grows out of the scar, not exactly above it. I was greatful I shaved because when my OB ripped the bandage off, it was like getting a painful wax. I was greatful there wasn't much to take.

I was told to not shave 10 days before because shaving may contribute to a gate way of infection from surgery.

I shaved 1 week before and they when through stubble

Nope they didn’t shave me and DAMN when I got my dressing off a week later it pulled the hairs and HURT haha

I would shave it and clean it up. They'll do it for you, but just to be nice to your nurses, either shave or wax it. Clean it up for them!
