Bottle leaking out the corners of baby’s mouth?

Im pumping and feeding the baby breastmilk through a bottle. If feels like a lot of the baby’s milk is coming out of the corners of her mouth, any way to avoid this? Currently using mam bottle level 1 and the baby is 6 week. Any bottles you recommend that avoid this? When I breastfeed, no leakage, how can I replicate that in bottles?

Size down a teat size try the mam 0 teats. Spilling out the sides of babies mouth means the flow is too fast x

Go to 0 xx

We have had really good success with the Como Tomo bottles their slow flow rate nipple is the slowest of the brands we have tried. Plus I think the biggest factor is we do paced feeding.

Size down to a 0 or premie nipple

This was happening to my baby as well. The lactation consultant we are working with told us this means that she’s getting too much milk at once while feeding … we’ve changed bottles 3x currently working with the evenflo balance and stopping her about every 1/2 oz to burp.

To add to what others have said — Slow feed with nipple at an angle to reduce flow and/or create a strong “kissy face” with middle and thumb finger on around mouth corners/almost cheeks when nipple in mouth.

We had to switch bottles multiple times till we found one that works for my boy, we are now using nanobebe bottles and we have noticed alot less leaking out of the corners of his mouth and like the above comment the fishy face works wonders ( mine also hoards his milk in his cheeks so we have to make him do the fishy face so we know he's not hoarding milk)
