Red raspberry leaf and My Membrane sweep experience 😊
For anyone who is being induced or maybe over due and is offered a membrane sweep here’s my experience: I had 2 membrane sweeps to prepare me for my induction because I had OC and baby was small, I had one on a Tuesday and one on a Thursday as my induction was scheduled on the Saturday. After my first sweep I noticed Wednesday night I had lost some mucus plug and then after my second sweep I had a bloody show a couple hours later. I decided to bounce on the ball and then did some just dance to see if that would do anything. By Saturday I assumed it hadn’t worked and I went in for my induction however I was having some period like cramps hours before and when I sat down on the bed within five minutes of being in the ward they hadn’t even started anything and my water broke 😂😊, things went super fast after that I had 3 contractions that were really painful and then I was checked, 4cm dilated and taken straight to delivery ward. My whole labour went really fast and was my first baby, it was 14 hours not including the time it took to push and it progressed really fast and I think it’s all because I was taking red raspberry leaf capsules from Holland and Barrett and drinking it in tea form as well from 31 weeks pregnant and when I hit 37 weeks I began inserting 1 evening primrose oil capsule inside to soften my cervix 😊. I didn’t really bounce on my ball as I was lazy I can safely say I am 98 percent sure it was all the red raspberry leaf 😊. The membrane sweep didn’t hurt it was just uncomfortable and felt like cramps all you have to do is breathe through it. I really recommend a membrane sweep too 🥰
Hiya, what did these cramps feel like just before? How bad were they. Trying to figure out if I'm in labour or not haha
