Yellow fluid leaking from c section incision
So I have had issues with my c section incision being infected as its slightly open on the end. I was prescribed antibiotics and have been taking them for the past week but all of a sudden my incision is now weeping daily with this bright yellow fluid? Doesn't smell, doesn't seem painful or more red then it has been?
I was prescribed metronidazole and I beleive since taking this, my incision has started weeping?
Has anyone else experienced this?

Did they swab the incision? I was given antibiotics twice but thy didn't work. In the middle of the second round after a swab they phoned to stay I needed different ones so it could be that the current antibiotics aren't working. There's no harm phoning up your gp just to make sjre
@Sophie the same happened me. I had three antibiotics in total. Definitely worth phoning up as your incision shouldn’t be weeping, especially after a course of antibiotics
@Phoebe @Jackie @Sophie was seen by triage and they took a swab to see which antibiotics I need to go on as the ones I was taking haven't done anything. The weeping seems to have stopped for now but it feels sore. Thanks for your advice though! 😁 x

I had similar a few weeks ago after a wound infection, I ended up needing a dressing over the wound to help recovery, definitely ring your GP to get them to have a look at the incision site, you might need additional antibiotics or a dressing for protection x
