Owlet sock. Yes or no?

My baby girl is 12 weeks old tomorrow. She had a cluster of seizures when she was 8 weeks old (not febrile seizures), she spent a week in hospital and had an MRI, lumbar puncture and an EEG amongst other tests. Everything came back clear but they picked up something on the EEG so we’re being referred to an epilepsy specialist in London but she hasn’t had any seizures since 8 weeks old. Before we got her results back a few days ago I felt like our life went back to normal but now I feel like I’m just waiting for it to happen again, I have been feeling really anxious the past couple of days and I’m struggling to sleep just incase it happens in the night and something awful happens to her. Does anyone use the owlet sock? Do you think it will help or make me more anxious? Any other mums going through something similar?

If there was no medical conditions I’d say don’t bother, but seeing she has medical problems I’d definitely get one xx

Unless medically advised to do so I wouldn't. There is a risk from the sock coming off. There is a risk of false alarming and there is a risk of baby getting burnt by the sensor. Following safe sleep guidelines is the best thing you can do to keep your little one safe

I have one and I love it personally. It doesn’t fall off and hasn’t given me any false readings personally. Provides me with lots of reassurance. I have the camera and the sock.

I love it too. No issues so far and gives me some security.

I haven’t got one but I would definitely because of everything that has happened xx

I have one and we love it it hasnt had any problems for us we got it cause of my postpartum anxiety and its been really comforting actually

I'm getting one for my baby girl when she's here. I have horrible anxiety already, and I know it's only going to get worse.

I bought it, I always forget to put it on. The camera we use though it’s really good x

I love our owlet sock. We have used from day 1 at home and its been a huge help on anxiety and tracking babys sleep.

I also have one for my preemie who was born 12 weeks early and I also love it! I’ve not had any false readings and she is a very active sleeper, she’s only 4lb and it’s not fallen off her foot at all ☺️

If I was in your situation I would 💯 get one x

I have a snuza hero md. Would highly recommend!! My little boy had apnea of prematurity and would just stop breathing. The snuza is medically approved and is given out to some families by the lullaby trust. It clips onto the nappy rather than wrapping around a foot so possibly more likely to stay in place x

I loved having an owlet sock. I'd say get one, especially in your situation.

You could try the angelcare movement mat, it's sensitive enough to monitor if they are breathing, I have it, never had a false alarm it's amazing

Loved my baby’s owlet, definitely worth it and never had any issues with it. Was great for peace of mind xx
