I delivered there but I didn’t have that doctor. Food is trash but the staff was amazing. I had a big room but not all the rooms are big fyi. Overall it was a good experience.
I have a different OB but I was induced there on 2/14 at 38 weeks. Overall, it was more of a positive than negative experience. Im a FTM too, so my best advice for you is to pack more than you think you need. It’s a smaller hospital and it just seemed like all their resources were spread too far between. Take a breast pump regardless of if you plan on pumping or not. I didn’t get to see their Lactation Consultant for several hours after asking. My son didn’t have a good latch because his mouth was so small (he couldn’t really breast feed until 2-3 months old) and it was a struggle not knowing why for so long. I also asked for a breast pump but was never given one. I had to formula feed the first 36 hours until I got home because it was the only option I felt like I had. Other than that, be your best advocate. I felt like I could’ve done that better. If you like your nurse, ask them to line up another nurse for you at shift change with qualities you like. April and Autumn were amazing!☺️
I delivered at advent winter park! It was really a great experience. They actually didn’t have any birthing suites available when I went in so I delivered in Triage. However, the room was still very large and comfortable and the staff was so sweet!
I had both kids there with my second she was my high risk OB with my regular that was present as well. I had a extreme situation but it honestly went really smooth as possible and both OBs prepared me well as well as the staff before, during and after.
I highly recommend Advent health winter park for delivery. The rooms are big. All the staff were friendly and keep you comfortable throughout the whole process. And your other half gets a meal as well!.
