Something drying up on my nipples I have to peel off?

Idk what it is but if you have had this too or know what it is, please lmkin comments!!! It looks like hardened clear shiny glaze in the middle of my nipple but when I peel it off it looks white and feels like small crystalizations or kinda like hard tiny bits of salt if I could best describe it. I’m 15 weeks now but I’ve noticed it the last few days so since about 14 wks. I havent had any leaking of colostrum or anything so…? I only get it about once a day, 2 times max. I peel it off because it’s all hardened and dried up and kind of bothers my nipples with how it feels due to its texture. Any ideas or comments you can leave me? Thank you!

It’s just hardened colostrum! Moisturize daily and it’ll get better, it won’t make it go away completely but it’ll make it less hard.

@Madeline Im just curious how though? I havent noticed any leaking or anything coming out of my nipples tbh thats genuinely wet.

I have something like this but it looks like dried skin so I’m confused as to if it’s just dried skin or colostrum 🤨

@Mariana mine haven’t leaked at all either, I believe it’s because the dried colostrum keeps it from leaking. Like even if you peel off the top layer there’s still a small plug there. Probably your body’s natural barrier to keep everything protected and clean.

@Jayden Same! I thought it was my skin getting dry there at first then noticed it wasnt jus skin after the first few times

@Mariana I’ve been like this since about 4 months but no actual leaking so I’ve been questioning it. Good to know I’m not alone 🤣

It’s most likely colostrum. I noticed it dried on my nipples before I started leaking. I gently pressed down around my nipples and then squeezed slightly and it started just coming out. ( do not recommend expressing until 36 weeks) but I’m 24w, I started noticing it around 20. But I still tried it to see if it was colostrum.
