They told me to walk on a curb, with one foot on the curb and one on the street and I guess being uneven helps. I didn't get to try it cuz my water broke, I labored for four days and I was too tired to try it and was gonna wait till the morning to try but luckily my water broke cuz I was in so much pain
Someone scared me so bad i jumped, water broke half hr later
I got a pedicure! My nail tech knew exactly what pressure points to hit and it definitely worked!
@Jackie that’s interesting
I think people try things like reflexology or acupuncture as it relaxes you which can help promote oxytocin (the birth hormone). Sex is the only thing that is proven because sperm contains prostaglandins, which is the hormone that ripens the cervix during labour. You can also try different birth positions and walking up and down the stairs sideways.
A full Moon
Absolutely nothing lol I just assumed I was going over so was just relaxed and unbothered maybe that’s what did it x
I don’t think there is a specific trick. But with my first I went on a hike/walk that was decently lengthy. With my second, I started contractions while breastfeeding my older baby. I tried all the things leading up to it both times, but things just seemed to happen when they happened. My midwives did tell me that when I’m most relaxed, that’s when it would happen. 😂
Scrubbing the floor on my hands and knees 2hrs later in labour
Ever since my hubby was told about sex speeding up labour (he gets 3 months paternity) he’s been on a mission… I feel like it really hasn’t done much yet, but I still have time. I’m getting induced at 42 which I’m hoping she decides to come before then 😬🙏
Sex 😂😅😂
Sex
I think sex is the only proven way because of the hormone in sperm. Plus anything to get oxytocin going. I was induced with my first at 41 +2. If all is OK, you don't need to accept the induction. If I'm late again, then I think I'll give it more time before I accept an induction.
As many have said sex is a great one! Of course because of the sperm but if you can also come it causes natural contractions if the uterus and can be relaxing for you as well. I tell my clients (birth/postpartum doula) to masturbate - helps in the same way. I even recommend masturbating (clitoris stimulation) during labor to help speed up delivery. I’ve seen it work wonders!

Spicy food. Like really spicy, Indian food?
@Libby I was induced too at 41 weeks and 2 days with my first. A girl. I honestly didn’t want to go past 42 weeks and risk something happening to my placenta.
I was induced at 41 weeks and 2 days. I’ve tried walking, bouncing in exercise ball, eating spicy foods, masturbate, pelvic exercises not on the exercise ball, evening primrose oil taken orally and inserted one capsule into my vagina (I started at 38 weeks). On the day I was scheduled to be induced my mucous plug came out. I went in on a Wednesday and had my baby that Friday afternoon.
The weekend prior to my due date I did the Miles Circuit. 1st time my mucus plug released then the 2nd time my water broke about 8 hours afterwards and I had my daughter in 6 hours. Unsure if that’s what started my labor or if she was just ready to arrive at that time.
Raspberry tea, lots of sex lol, and I would slightly jog.
My water broke with both...first I was laying in bed at midnight at 40+4 and my second I had just started pumping at 38+3 because I was over being pregnant, needed my gallbladder out, and was a gestational diabetic so they wanted to induce at 39 weeks
1: water broke and contractions followed 2: contractions started but they weren't painful so I thought they were Braxton Hicks. Even slept through it. By morning it was still happening and regularly, so went to the midwife for a quick check while I was running errands and ended up having to go straight to the hospital cause I was already 4cm. Dilated more at the hospital, midwife popped the water for me, and I was back home with a baby for supper.
Pumping a few mins a days
My daughter was induced by a teaspoon of castor oil. She came that night. It was suggested to eat a full meal and take a little of it. She is healthy and was considered full term. Just needed the extra nudge into full labor. It did the trick. But I'd ask your ob or Dr first to make sure that's ok to do in your situation. Best of luck!
Yeah I had sex the night before. They do say that's the only way that actually has results
