Birth at Providence Cedars-Sinai Tarzana?

Hi Mamas, has anyone delivered at Providence Cedars-Sinai Tarzana or planning to? I’m currently 35w and getting ready to deliver there. Would love to hear how your experience was; what was available to you in the delivery room for labor, post-partum etc. 🤍

Yess i just had my baby 4 weeks ago. It was amazing experience. The nurses the rooms everything was amazingg! I honestly didnt even need to pack anything, they have everything you will need.

Planning to! 33weeks here. I’m glad you’ve had a great experience

@Sweeny Congratulations! That’s great to hear! How long did you end up staying?

Hi! I have! In 2021! Everyone was amazing, super helpful and patient! My water broke early so we barely had anything packed they provided us with so much necessities! I didnt even need to purchase anything needed for after my C section.

Yes, I have in 2019. I had an okay experience. I was dealing with a few nurses that didn’t know what they were doing but my boyfriend told them to go get someone who had the knowledge in their position and once they were replaced everything went smoothly.

@Laura I had an elective C section and I was there for 3 days.

@Tiffany So good to hear! I’m getting as ready as possible right now at 35w but feeling like Babygirl is going to come early - so love to know that!

@Laura it will go amazing!

@Esylen Glad you were taken care of eventually! I think 2019 I was the first yr of the C-S partnership.

I'm planning on delivering there in September ☺️

@Madeleine me too

Everything went really well! Very helpful nurses and smooth delivery

I should be delivering there late April, and have heard nothing but positive things so far. Haven’t toured yet.

Happy to report we had a great experience- my delivery and postnatal nurses were just wonderful! Grateful that my team respected my requests and helped me through a natural vaginal delivery as well as post birth challenges unique to my situation. We felt very cared for.

So glad I came across this post. Just in the process of changing OBs, I’m 27 weeks, so dealing with a little bit of stress 😅 The OB we just had a meeting with has said I could give birth here in February. Good vibes so far ❤️🙏🏻

I know I’m late on this post, but curious as to how the seating was in the room for partners to stay over! :)

In the delivery room there was a couch/bed, same as in the recovery room. I know the pillows they provided weren't very comfortable, so your partner may want to bring a pillow and blanket (it got pretty cold at times in the room).

Hi guys, So glad I found this post. I’m new to the Woodland Hills area and contemplating on deciding between Kaiser and Cedar. Did anyone of you go through this? I’ve had a few visits with dr. Gil bender from cedar and he seems amazing but also feel like trying Kaiser.

Amazing experience. My wife had an emergency c-section at 35 weeks and 5 days. The team at Providence were wonderful, even with a stay in the NICU. Would recommend.
