Overcoming constipation on Gaviscon: Possible???
My baby halved her milk intake due to bad reflux which sent my anxiety levels sky high so we were prescribed infant Gaviscon. It worked wonders over night and baby started drinking her bottle normally again. However, a day after that she became really grizzly due to constipation caused by the Gaviscon. So we halved the dose of Gaviscon and gave her meds prescribed for constipation. 36 hours later and she’s still constipated.
Anyone went through similar with light at the end of the tunnel?

Sorry to hear that. It’s a nightmare isn’t it?! I was told to give 2 sachets in a bottle but we quickly reduced it to 1 due to her constipation. It’s still effective for the reflux. Did you try any laxative meds or just the water? I’ll give that a go. Thankyou.
It is a nightmare! We were given lactolose, it didn’t do much. The water so far seems the best x

We are in the exact same boat, he’s been on gaviscon for 3 days. Lactolose didn’t help. I found giving a few sips of cool boiled water between Fred’s got things moving. How much gaviscon is your LO taking?
