Superman arms at tummy time?

My baby is 3.5 months old, and really has never liked tummy time- I’ve incorporated it from birth and while she tolerates it for much longer stretches now, she still would clearly like to be on her back far more! Her latest issue is that for the last 2 weeks, when she is placed on her forearms, she then proceeds to spread her arms out and lay them stretched out to each side. She then lifts her neck up to look forward, and to look to the side she literally puts her head on the ground and licks the floor 😂 She’s definitely not rolled or shown the slightest interest in rolling! How can I help her move past this phase? I’ve tried propping her chest with a towel- she still spreads her arms. I’ve tried all the entertainment in the world, she still does it, I’ve tried holding her arms in place and this works but that’s kind of cheating! Lol

The superman thing is actually developmental and strengthen different muscles, just leave her on her tummy as you have been and she’ll do everything in her own time. There’re so many different muscles that are being strengthened during tummy time used for rolling, sitting and crawling. The superman pose helps strengthen the chest and back muscles which can be pretty tiring so licking the floor is her having a rest 😂

My little one is exactly the same! No matter how many times I tuck his arms under....straight back to supermanning 🤣 he can sit up, head control is basically perfect now too it's just tummy time. It's either superman, screaming or he just falls asleep on his tummy! I have no advice for you other than you are not alone 😆
