How old is your LO? I’ve been having the exact same the past couple of days but have also found black specks in her milk so I didn’t know whether to put it down to that. She has also been quite grizzly which I also didn’t know if that linked 😟
Some foods aren’t fully digested like bananas, blackberries, figs, cherries or chocolate, herbs and spices, red meat and seeds from fruits like strawberries or sesame seeds. My daughter has these specs in her poops for months honestly as long as I can remember, she’s very healthy and eats all the foods I listed above which from my research say cause black specs.
@Amy He’s 7 months next week, I’ve not noticed any in his milk but he has been a little grumpy but he’s also teething so I think that’s why he’s been a bit funny
@Rae He hasn’t had any of those foods, the only thing I can think of that it could possible be is cinnamon as he had a tiny bit on his porridge but the grains look too big to be that to me
Oh bless him! Hope he’s a little brighter soon 🤞🏻 I’ve been In contact with kendamil and they’ve confirmed what the cause is with her milk which is what I think is coming out in her poo! There’s always such a worry 😟
Undigested milk can also show up as black specs in poop, I just noticed you said he’s formula fed, with breastfed babies it doesn’t normally happen. My girl was formula fed since 3mo and the specs were always in her poop, I never really reported it to anyone because she never showed signs of discomfort or as if anything was wrong? Honestly if your boy has these poops but no other symptoms of feeling poorly I wouldn’t worry x
Has baby had banana recently? That van leave black bits in poo
