I’m leaning towards not doing it based off this info and based off the fact that it is extremely rare for an infant to need it. There’s always that fear for me. What happens if I don’t get it and my baby needs it. But I did also find. People are believing there could be a link with the vitamin k shot and childhood leukemia. But here’s some links. Hope this helps
Of you decide on the drops just know you have to give it with breast milk or formula and not on an empty stomach
The main reason for an infant to need it is for male babies getting circumcised before they’re 8 days old. I’d recommend watching “a shot in the dark” by Candace Owens, she has an episode specifically on vitamin K.

Vitamin K is more given to the individual who is prone to have a blood disorder etc. ie if someone on your family has it maybe they advise yoh to. But you can say no, if you don’t want.
We did the vitamin k oral drops instead.
