Did anyone else order from Aeroflow a supposedly free pump, only to then later get a bill from your insurance not covering it at all? :/

I went through Aeroflow, entered my info, got the email back about "good news, you qualify for a free pump, blah blah" and picked my pump from the list provided. There were options that were an additional fee, but I went with one that the site claimed was fully covered & free through my insurance. That was back in the beginning of August, and now I just got a bill from my insurance for the full amount, and they covered nothing. What the heck! Anyone else experienced this BS? :/ I'm annoyed because it's my first baby, so I've never done this before and I don't even know how much I'll produce, if anything, or how useful this pump will be. I wasn't so worried about it when I thought it was covered, now I'm annoyed that it might be a $200+ waste. 😫

When I ordered from them they needed my doctor to write a prescription for the breast pump before it was covered.

Nothing ever said that anywhere, but I'll talk to her at my appointment next week and see if maybe works. Thank you. 👍

I don’t think you did anything wrong. Have you called you insurance to figure out why it wasn’t covered? I ordered from them and it was covered.

I had to order mine through my doctor because they require a prescription for the insurance to cover it.

@Kai I just ordered from them. You need a doctor’s order and ordering it too early in you pregnancy could be a problem.
