Drop off at the entrance, you have 10 mins or so to park there and take all your stuff in. Then partner head down to the carpark and come back
Do what others have said. I didn’t, parked in big multi-storey and walked up to triage for some reassurance…I had my baby that night 😂
It depends what time you go into labour, if it’s night the midwives will probably just let you and your birthing partner park in the drop off bays. If not, definitely get dropped off at the entrance!
I'd say get dropped off too. The parking is extortionate and just don't think you need that hassle on top of labour!
So 4 years ago we did the drop off to see if I was ready. Turns out I was.. whoops. As we ended up leaving our car.. not ideal or the plan. After we were told to go to reception where we could purchase a discount parking ticket as we would be having an extended stay.. e.g. not simply an appointment. Not sure if still the same system but worth asking before due date about discount tickets.
I would be dropped at the entrance, the last thing you want is to do that walk up the hill in labour! I was induced so was in before I was in labour and even then I was dropped off to avoid the waddle 😂
