Yeah with my first pregnancy it was a little closer than they’d like, but it resolved itself by 35 weeks
I was told at 16 that I had placenta previa. I’m 21 now and they told me it has moved. Not fully but that it’s moved. Hopefully it should fully move soon. Have a check up on the 16 to see if it has.
I have low lying placenta and the ultrasound tech said that the placenta doesn't suddenly become placenta previa. She told me that if you have full previa it will stay that way but if it's partial or low lying that it typically will grow enough away from the cervix to resolve itself. I found out at 17 weeks because of bleeding and now at 20 weeks it's gotten a little better but not by much. I'm hoping but 30 weeks it will be fully resolved.
@Sheala I hope yours resolves! 🙏🏻 I haven’t had any bleeding. The Dr found mine on an ultrasound. Hoping it resolves itself too! I have marginal placenta previa which I believe is just another name for low laying placenta.
@Meagan thank you so much for sharing🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️
@Rachel thank you!!! Good to know!! Hoping mine fixes itself!❤️
@Katherina hope you hear great news❤️🙏🏻
I’m 21 weeks and was told this also. My OB and Doula we’re very confident it will probably resolve itself so I’m trying not to stress about it. They said the uterus still has to stretch a considerable amount and that stretching should pull it away from the cervix. My OB said she had it herself with both of her pregnancies and it resolved itself. They want the placenta at least 2cm from the cervix and mine was 1.1cm away.
