Short luteal phase - what do the NHS actually do?

I’ve read that the nhs will prescribe you progesterone during your ovulation window to length your luteal phase, also look into vitex also known as chaste berry xox

Sometimes we need to explore herbal medicine xox

I’m not sure on the answer so sorry, but I have a shorter luteal phase too, can I ask how you got the GP to actually test your progesterone? Mine don’t seem to be taking the short luteal phase seriously! Did you ask for it? Hope everything goes well for you 🤞🏼x

Hey - so I have been tracking my cycle for a while, and combined with family history it was enough to indictate to the GP that I could have low progesterone, so the doc was happy to refer me for bloods to get it confirmed. I did also go in stating that I felt that was the case. If they hadn’t I would have gone private - is that something you could consider doing just for the bloods maybe? Which cycle day did they test your progesterone on? If they are concerned you aren’t ovulating they might offer you Clomid. If the are satisfied it’s luteal phase defect they might offer you progesterone pessaries like cyclogest to take from day 21 to 28. Have they referred you to your local nhs fertility clinic?

I had this and was on clomid for a year which didn’t do anything now on month 3 of letrozole which has completely transformed my cycles

I just found out I have low progesterone, so my GP didn't know what to do as the next steps. She is sending me to see a gyno and for an ultrasound. Do you think I should get a second opinion? I haven't had a period for nearly 4 months

I’m joining the club of low progesterone too. I actually saw gynae privately and had two progesterone blood tests done at day 17 and day 21 First was 0.8 and second 2 both super low Feeling a bit stressed and anxious
