Thanks for sharing @Sam. I definitely will be asking for further investigation if it happens again. Do you mind me asking what changes they made? I wasn't even aware that changes could be made with medications!
Of course! So when you do frozen transfers you have a few options depending on your normal cycle. I ovulate naturally just really late (like CD 18-21) so they had me to a trigger shot and low dose progesterone called crinone 90mg a day for my first 2 transfers. We took a month of to rest/ recharge mentally. The third transfer we decided no trigger shot and that we would let my body do it’s thing and upped my progesterone to Uetragestan 800mg per day. I miraculously ovulated on CD 15 this cycle which I haven’t done since TTC over 2 years ago. But I honestly think the change in progesterone medication had a big factor.
That's completely different to what I had. I had estrogen from day one of my cycle, 8mg estradiol a day. I believe this was to thicken the lining but also stop me from ovulating, then after 2 weeks I started on crinone gel 90mg twice a day and also progesterone injection (lubion) which was 25mg progesterone. Once a day, and the transfer happened 5 days after that. So I didn't ovulate at all during my fet cycle. It's a minefield! I will definitely make sure I ask all the questions I need to if it happens again. Congratulations on your pregnancy and wishing you all the best with it!!
I have unfortunately had 5 chemical pregnancies from trying naturally 😞 our 3rd (and last embryo from round 1 IVF) transfer finally stuck and my hcg numbers have never been higher, they had more than doubled at my 2nd beta I think there’s hope for you yet! I pushed for a medication change and a full review on our case after the first 2 transfers failed and that did us wonders so if you’re worried make sure you voice this to your nurses and doctors!
