@Jessica I will check, thank you. It seems strange as they are for labour and who knows how long labour is going to take lol xx
I got told they’re only for if you go into hospital already in labour x
Where are these bays?
@Lucy outside the leazers wing doors. There’s a sign saying maternity bays xx
@Amie thank you x
@Lucy I’m not due until March but my husband and I were talking about them the other day haha
We were told there only for unplanned labours. Inductions etc aren’t meant to park there. We nearly weren’t allowed to park in them.
I had an elective section back in March and we were told we couldn’t park there 😞
They’re supposed to be for people in spontaneous labour, they will ask you to move if you use them for planned inductions or csections. I had my little one in 2021 and my husband had to go and move the car to the car park after a few hours to not be fined (spontaneous labour) x
Where have others parked for the RVI for an induction? For scans/check ups I’ve parked in the leases street car park opposite the maternity entrance but it’s a tiny car park and I ended up parking far away and having to walk for 15 mins to get to the ward today for an appointment
We got two seperate fines for parking in these as I went in in an emergency and then had a section a few days later we disputed both fines and didn’t have to pay xxx
Heyy, you can park there but you have to check your car in at reception which only lasts about 4 hours. My baby came with some complication as the 4 hours was up so we got a £70 fine. Double check at the maternity reception to be sure.
