I heard of adults putting vodka on their hurting tooth but a little baby is to far
My great grandma did this to her children and all but one of them became alcoholics. If they continue to say it when you've said no I would not trust them to respect your wishes when you are not there. I wouldn't leave your baby alone with them
Whatever you do, do not leave her alone with your baby. If she keeps disrespecting your boundaries, she doesn’t deserve to see your child. I’m sorry you’re having to deal with this x
“We’ve chosen different parenting choices but glad that worked for you” or just NO, no is a full sentence. She won’t change or stop. So just ignore, or say no.
Just tell her kindly that this is not something you want to do ever. Camilla teething drops are amazing! I swear they work. Both my kids loved them. If it gets really bad, you can do Tylenol/Motrin.
@Kamilla Tylenol I've heard is bad. I'm UK
@Jessica Blackmore acetaminophen is perfectly safe. We don’t live in a vacuum so technically almost everything is “bad”. Just like with anything, moderation is key and advantages must exceeds risks. Is it necessary to give a teething child medicine? Absolutely not but it can sure help the baby and exhausted parents. Exhausted parents is way worse for baby than an appropriate dose of tylenol.
@Kamilla I understand what you're saying. I just think if we are upset about distilled alcohol, we should also appreciate tylenol has alot of people speaking out about the dangers with regards to the ingredients.
im sorry you have to deal with that. i wouldnt leave my child unattended around them and i would also make it very clear if anyone tries such a thing that they would lose the privilege of being around my child at all
