Napping in bouncer chair

My in laws got us a baby bjorn bouncer chair. I put my little one in it so I could have some lunch and she fell asleep in it. Is that safe? I have it reclined back as far as it will go. I don’t want to wake her but I’m nervous to let her sleep in there. I’m watching her like a hawk at the moment.

Babies should sleep on a firm, flat surface. If you’re watching her it’s probably ok for a short time but I wouldn’t leave her in there for more than half an hour or so 😊

@Sophie thanks lovely! I’m generally so paranoid about these kinds of things. Car seats scare the crap out of me. I normally do contact naps during the day so this is the first time this has happened aha

It’s not recommended but a lot of stuff isn’t, as long as they’re supervised and their chin is not resting on thier chest they’re fine

@Leah I ended up bringing her out about ten mins in as I was too nervous. We had a contact nap instead ahaha

As long as you're watching 👀 and it's not for hours I'd say you're fine! On the rare occasion it happens I just do jobs in the same room 👍

I thought it was ok but after reading about, I won’t risk it.

I was really worried and paranoid at first and it isn’t recommended for them to sleep in bouncers/swings.. But if I didn’t let my baby sleep in his swing chair I’d never get anything done during the day! He hated the Moses basket. I just keep a very close eye on him xx

@Cara so I mostly contact nap during the day so I get literally nothing done in the day.. I wait until my husband takes her up to bed and then i do cleaning etc. but it means I get to bed around 1 and it takes me a few hours to fall asleep … she’s up around 7.
