My baby is 16 months and he did this at 9 months old till 10 months gave up then started again at 12-13 months and gave up then just started it up again a few weeks ago. It is just a phase. It is cute but I get that it can also be frustrating, hurts your ears and maybe even embarrassing. My boy loves to happy scream things round the supermarket we just laugh and say “teddy you’re drawing a lot of attention, are you excited baby?” And then he starts chunering to himself 😂 I guess they’re still learning to express emotions and my little boy laughs at being tickled and some things on tv but he still hasn’t realised that he can release happy emotion like that rather than screaming happily 😂 I try and just be patient and remember he’s still learning what emotions are and how to express them 🥰 hope that helps, also it doesn’t matter whether we encourage it or not when he’s excited or happy it just happens even if we’re ignoring it xx
My one year old got back into the screaming phase 🤣🤣 we scream back and forth at home and he does it when he’s happy or excited. I don’t really care in public tbh… he’s happy. He’s not scream crying or throwing a tantrum. He’s a happy baby expressing it very vocal 🤣 my husband gets a little embarrassed but I just tell him to leave it be.
My baby has just started doing this at 5 months 🙃
My LOis 9 months and he does this weird screech thing as he breaths in I might have a video I’ll find it in a sec and I just say “you excited Finley! Are you happy” at a slightly raised voice so people don’t think he’s just being weird and does it for no reason xx
