How to descale tommee tippee steriliser

I’ve read you use white vinegar to descale the steriliser but how much do you use of it and how do you do the whole thing. Sorry probably sounds stupid but there’s so many different things on the internet I don’t know which is right or wrong.

This is what we do- not sure if its right lol but online is a mine field lol. Switch it off and tip out any water- use a clean cloth to wipe the metal part. Add the same amount of vinegar as you usually do water- from a measuring jug. (think mine is 80ml I just use the line on the bottles lol). Leave it to sit as long as you can like a good hour so prep bottles in advance! Then pour the vinegar out and use kitchen roll to scrape off any build up, and then a soft clean cloth again to wipe it all. Then run a full cycle with the normal amount of water, no bottles. After thats done do a final wipe and then use as normal

@CeeCee do you run a cycle with the vinegar on once it’s been sat for an hour?

@Clarice thank you, I’ll give it a go. No wonder mine didn’t work as I used 5ml of vinegar 🫣 so not much at all 😂

No I dont think there is any point as its just a heating element- bit like when you descale the kettle you dont boil the kettle x
