It's highly likely his reflux is actually to do with cmpa... Give the pepti 1 some time, it can take weeks for the guy to heal, so if you think his other symptoms have improved (the reflux, rash and discomfort) then definitely stick at it and hopefully poops will improve in a few weeks too.
We were on pepti1 for a while and almost all symptoms went other than reflux, cradle cap and explosive poos but she seemed happy so we didnāt think much of it. Eventually we were changed to AA formula as she wasnāt gaining weight and other than some reflux issues (physical rather than symptom of cmpa) everything has cleared so far š¤š» we also had a really bad reaction gut wise to the rottovirus vaccine. itās tough as you need to give it time to work but stick in there, if he gets worse or isnāt improving/clear of symptoms by 4-6 weeks then Iād say you may need to trial another milk. Feel free to message me if you want any advice/help/to chat about it!
Also just seen youāre using carobel, Iāve avoided that as Iāve seen a few people say their little one reacted on that too as itās linked somehow with soya, may not be that but worth looking into maybe?
@Lucy oh I stopped carabol last weekend I found out the itās the same thickening agent is it was in the AR formula that was going through him
Iād definitely try another brand of CMPA milk! I had this similar experience was out in nutramigen and she was either constipated or really explosive poos got changed to pepti syneo and itās got something in to help heal the gut, weāve had absolutely no issues whatsoever with this xx
Green is normal for allergy formulas but the consistency is diarrhoea and itās seedy and stringy. Whilst it can take up to 6 weeks for allergy to leave the body, there should be improvements pretty quickly. Can you go back to the doctor and ask for a extensively hydrolysed formula, such as nutramigen (it still contains dairy protein, itās just more broken down for tolerance), the next step would be an amino acid totally free from formula such as Alfamino.
Just come on here to see about explosive dark green pooā¦. My son has cmpa was told this at 4 weeks heās now 12 weeks, although dr now thinks it could be a milk allergy all together as pepti 1 only slightly improved his condition so now on neocate and my sons done a poo like in your photo and itās never been this colour before just always watery, tho he had his second lot of injections yesterday so not sure if thatās not helped.
