Hello 👋🏽 I’ve been to scout but it was pre-pregnancy- but instructors I had were great and pretty knowledgeable- but it depends on the instructor for pre pregnancy it can be hit and miss- as it’ll depend on their own interests as with all instructors not just pilates. I would suggest if u wanted you could send an email in the class times you like and ask reception if that instructor has pregnancy skills or which ones do even in the regular classes - if you can’t make the prenatal ones :) Either way - check which instructor does the prenantal and you could probably go to their reg class too. I go to the studio in rozelle for reformer pilates - as most of the instructors are physios and some are women’s health physios - so regular classes are fine they all know how to shift for a preg body :)
I have been doing reformer pilates pre-pregnancy and throughout my pregnancy till the last trimester. I was lucky enough to have the instructors who knows what to do with pregnancy during reformer pilates and I also doing the barre class together with it. I was doing it in Fernwood seven hills and world gym marsden park like (4-5days/week). For pregnancy, you got to buy a pregnancy wedges as you cant lie flat on the reformer bed once your tummy got bigger (forgot which months). For pregnancy, you cant do any movement with abs as it will cause diastasis recti… I love reformer pilates and barre. I was off from it since week 36 and I went for a women physio for check up and found that I only have a 0.5cm gap for my abdomen 6weeks post-natal. And basically the gap will close when i get back to reformer. And im back to reformer pilates after 3months post c-section. I think KX pilates offer pre-natal classes. Check it out with them. All the best during your pregnancy!
