Pillow

Can I use a small low pillow for my 5 month old? We’ve been in the sleep regression for weeks now and have been trialling multiple things as well as co sleeping, and we found that a low pillow would help baby sleep. Is it safe to use in his cotbed? Or should we get something padded which covers his mattress?

No to both. Pillows not until baby is over 1 and mattress should be firm and flat. Baby is happy when co sleeping because baby can smell you and senses you being close etc.

I have used a small non allergenic cot pillow for my baby who is 5 months old, I’ve used this since he was 3 months and he sleeps soo much better! I was a bit paranoid at first and kept waking up to check on him (his cot is beside my bed) but he’s always been fine. I may remove the pillow once he can roll from back to front.

I’d say no to a pillow, their not meant to have one until 1. Have you tried trying to sooth baby with a muslin cloth, like we gentle put it against our 5 month olds face and he then grabs it and snuggles it and nod back off. We remove the muslin cloth once he’s nodded back off for obvious safety reasons but works a treat! Even at nap times x

My 4 month has a pillow , I put it under her cover so it doesn’t move or anything

Nope x
