New to the area

In the process of moving to the area. Looking for any advice on schools in the area and things to do suitable for kids 6&4 will also have a newborn. I'm hoping to make some mum friends so it feels a little less lonely being somewhere new!

Hi Anna, there are lots of primary/junior schools in the area but not a huge choice of secondary schools. I would look into the secondary school to see which is best for your girls in the future then look at the catchment primary schools. Fareham have a few Facebook groups where I'm sure you'd be able to connect with mums who use particular schools now to get a better idea. I used to have a job where I went into several schools so formed my own views, but schools change within a few years so I appreciate the information I have may be outdated. We have alot of soft plays and role cafes in the area, and a couple of cheerleading units that convert into soft play with trampolines in the day time. Great for alot of ages. Rock up in whiteley has a rock climbing wall and a small soft play. Red spider has more indoor rock climbing things. Lots of country parks, outdoor parks. Couple of outdoor splash parks, and an indoor splash park.
