Running and exercise

Hi all, I’m keen to get back into some exercise and was once a runner, many moons ago, and am hesitant to start again with so many aches and pains and huge boobs! Anyone started running gently and had some success? Just looking for advice, encouragement and experiences!

I had aches and pains when I started as well (being a runner before kids as well) but I pushed through the pain and they all happened to go away within 3 weeks. Might’ve just been lucky!!

@Nina that is great to hear! Maaaybe starting up again will help my aches and pains too 🤞

I started running at 6 weeks postpartum. I used the couch to 5k app, and found that to be a really gentle way to ease in so highly recommend. I got up to running 4K straight but now I’m pregnant again and feel so yuck. I’ve always had big boobs, getting a really firm supportive sports bra helps a lot.

You can do this!!

@Bex thanks for your encouragement! I started couch to 5k yesterday and while It was hard I felt great afterwards and not too much soreness today. Need to invest in a good sports bra though! Good luck with your pregnancy x

@Zoë ahhhh that’s awesome!! Good on you. In those early stages I would tell myself “it’s just 60 seconds” haha. Go you!
