Washing Velcro Sleep Sacks w/o Snagging Other Fabrics

A friend gave me several velcro-closing sleep sacks that I'm excited to use, but I'm wondering: is there a trick to securing or washing them in a way that keeps the velcro from snagging other items in a load? Thanks in advance!
