First time ivf

I think my first scan was on day 5 of injections then had another 2 days later then I ended up triggering on day 9 due to responding well but if I hadn’t I would have had another scan 2-3 days later

Do you think it's worth calling them and asking if there's a reason other people get scanned on day 5 and they're not bothering with mine until day 9? I do have a low amh, so possibly they're expecting me to not respond well?

Mine was on day 3 of stims, then every 2-3 days until trigger day. But every clinic does things differently! I understand the overthinking though, can you reach out to your nurse?

I had my first scan after being on stims for only 4 days (so on day 5) and I had already got 2 dominant follicles. If my scan was any later, I would have ovulated 🤦🏻‍♀️ so I would definitely speak to them. I will say though, I wasn’t on any down regulation meds so my follicles were probably already growing. Usually if you’re on down reg meds, that switches off your ovaries so they do tend to grow a bit slower and steady.

I was really hoping for a scan on Friday which would be after 5 stims and just before using the ganirelix to stop ovulation. Ill get my husband to call tomorrow, I'll just end up crying 😂

Are you paying privately? I had a scan on day 3,6 and 9 with retrieval on day 11. I think it makes sense to have a scan earlier so they can adjust your meds if needed. If you’re going through the NHS (sorry I don’t know where you’re based) they do scan you later due to budget.

@Krystina we're with nhs for this first round. I'll get him to do a good phone voice tomorrow and push for another scan!

My first round was on day 9, long protocol. Second round I did short protocol and scan was on day 5.

For my first round I was going through the NHS and I had a scan on day 3, 5 and 7 and on day 7 my egg retrieval was booked for a few days later. I think every clinic does work differently but definitely call and ask because it may have been an oversight? Xx

My first scan was on day 6 , second on day 9 and third on day 11. Because of risk of ohss and they adjust my medication a lot during the time and closely monitor me. Good luck 🤞. Going for egg reterival tomorrow hopping for best IA!🤞

Started stimulation on Sunday, my first scan is tomorrow which is day 4. Second on day 6, third on day 9. I was told depending on day 6 scan, there’s a possibility of coming in on day 8,9 and 10.

So my husband rang today and they've assured me that because of how low my amh is, there's no need to go in until day 9. Fingers crossed they're right
