Baby with big tummy

yes! i had the exact same at my 28week scan his tummy was measuring at 32 weeks, i did the GD test and was clear, they havent gave me another scan till 36 weeks so i have no idea how hes growing now but they told me it can just be genetic as my my dad is big boned even though me and my bf arnt

Yeah my baby has a big tummy apparently and my gd test came back fine, I’ve got another scan in 2 weeks, when I’ll be 36/37 weeks xx

Im almost 38 weeks and have 3 growth scans due to baby being big. My last scan they gave me the option of induction or c section at 39 weeks but we chose to wait it out naturally until 40 weeks and they would induce me on my due date if shes not here yet. I was told that the measurements are not at all accurate and could be 15% either way

I had a growth scan at 32 weeks and I had the same “baby’s tummy circumference measured a little high” I don’t know if that’s a little bit or a lot!? But they’ve booked me in for a second GTT test (1st one came back clear) and I’ve got a second growth scan next week which will make me 36+3. Glad to know I’m not alone. X

I had the exact same! Tummy was big and everything else average. Also Clear on GD test. Having another scan at 36 weeks. Midwifes said it’s not really a problem just growing really well!

I’m currently going through this now at 34 weeks waiting to see what GD test says and have another scan at 37 weeks. I’ve been told to manage my diet to bring the belly size down x

I had a scan yesterday (36 weeks) and my babies stomach/torso is off the scale. Head and legs are around 75% each. The Consultants main concern was about her shoulders getting stuck because the “stomach” measurement is the whole torso including the babies shoulders. I’ve got to go back in two weeks for a rescan but I’ve been told to prepare for an induction the day after or a c-section if my babies measurements are still so big 🫣 I’ve got a GD test tomorrow to see if it’s the reason for the large measurements.

Yep 20 week scan put all baby’s measurements at around 70th percentile and tummy 95th. Just had 36 week scan and still the same. They say as long as it’s within the boundaries it’s nothing to worry about.

At least there’s a lot of us in the same boat 🫣 it’s just so confusing when they don’t give you another reason, but I have got a scan next week when I’m 34 weeks and to meet with consultant so hopefully will have more answers then 🤞🏼

Do you have a scan when you see the consultant? I have an appointment on the 21st as in the 97th centile snd stomach is off the chart. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Mine us 97th centile for belly and 70 else where at 28 weeks I go again in 2 weeks I'm worried xxx
