Second hand breast pumps

Has anyone successfully bought a second hand breast pump off of Vinted before? I was using the Medela Swing Maxi– Double Electric Breast Pump but it’s very noisy and clunky and I’d like something more streamlined that I can wear under my clothes and still move around in. (I will need to wear it in the office when I go back to work) Any recommendations? I can’t really afford to buy new on my maternity pay so I am considering buying second hand…

I did buy a pump off Vinted. I don’t love it, but that’s not because it’s secondhand, it just wasn’t the right pump for me (Elvie Stride). I’ve heard good things about the Momcozy wearable pumps so I think that’s what I’d try if I were buying again.

I think it depends on what pump you are buying. I’ve used the Momcozy pumps and they lose suction over time (I used them for close to one year), so I wouldn’t buy those second handed. I’ve just got the Bellababy ones new from Amazon and they were pretty cheap. I’m getting the same amount of milk that I got with the Momcozy ones.

I bought a manual pump on vinted as i was on a budget and it looked ok, planned to give it a good scrub and sterilise it etc but when it turned up it was so grim it went straight in the bin, it still had someone's old milk all dried in it like it had been used and not washed, I'm not really sure what they were thinking selling something in that state and on top I was called a liar like i was trying to get my money back so i got it for free🫠 I'd have paid her to take it back🤷‍♀️ Obviously just my experience but I wouldn't buy secondhand again because of it, hopefully you find someone lovely selling the one you want x

I'd only buy a second hand closed system pump. That means all parts that milk touches can be cleaned and sterilised.

@Leah yeah this is my worry, especially if im gonna be spending in the region of £70-£80

I don't know what your budget is but I bought mine new from amazon for £22.50 PaNt store (bit big to fit in a bra but can still be used under clothes). The KissBoBo is around £30-35 and fits into a bra well. Before you go back maybe ask your manager about it, they should give you a private space to pump and be understanding.
