I went to St Thomas and had the best time. Such good care for me whilst pregnant, and after. They looked after my baby and even my husband. I felt very safe there, had great communication and all the staff were so caring. Hoping to have baby 2 there. Plus, great views!

I had all three of my babies at St Thomas’s and couldn’t fault them.

I had my baby at sf George’s and they were brilliant and supportive the midwives helped me with the support and strength while in hospital

I’ve had my baby at St George’s and honestly best experience I could have asked for. My midwife was amazing x

St Thomas's was amazing for us from pregnancy, birth and after.

Ive had my little one at St George's and having my second one there too. Couldnt fault the care the first time, hope the second time will be good too!

Couldn’t recommend St George’s enough had an incredible experience and care there

I had my baby at St Thomas’ and I had a great experience. My midwife went above and beyond for me. Definitely recommend x

I had my girl at St George’s was amazing the care before and after was good. Wouldn’t fault them despite being really busy they were really great

I was at St George’s and it was fine, but everything felt a bit rushed to be honest because of how busy they are. Overall a good experience though

I was asking this same question three months ago! (I'm due in August). I did a lot of research - or as much as possible and there's some good Reddit chains on it as well. I would highly recommend St Thomas as they have one of the best maternity wards in London. I have never heard negative experiences from people who gave birth at St Thomas. I also have a good friend who is a midwife at St Thomas, they are truly the kindest and most accommodating nurses. each room also has a birthing pool. My issue with St Thomas is that it was a bit run down the last time I visited near the AE area but I haven't seen the maternity suites. I personally think Thomas midwives are more progressive and holistic, especially if you're planning for a medication free birth.

Another perk at St Thomas (again, I'm not sure how St. George's operates), but if you choose to go the unmedicated route, you start of in a different birthing suite (separate area) but if you change your mind and choose to go medicated, they literally just move you across the hallway so transfer is very convenient.

@Cynthia I agree, I know a few staff members there and they are genuinely lovely people who love delivering. My only criticism is the lifts are slow but whilst an old worn building it is very clean, and like you said one of the best in the country. I had a Caesarian and my own recovery room and private room. Great facilities, pull out beds for dads, brill transport links for accessibility and overall a fab hospital experience xx

I gave birth at St Thomas. I couldn’t have had better care, my baby was born premature and am forever grateful that he was looked after by the best team.

Thank you everyone for your feedback !! X
