When did you everyone start potty training?!? I’m unsure when I should even start, I have a 17 month old boy 💙 What is your favourite potty for at home and your favourite travel potty?

When they show signs of readiness. 17 months old is young. I’d be waiting closer to 2 or even 3.

We started with my daughter .. she's 16m.. she's been showing signs since 13m. Taking it slow but she has the right idea. She tells us when she needs a bum change, she can say potty, she knows what the potty is. She says pee or poo depending on which one, she puts her seat up on the big potty etc. She knows the concept of it just haven't mastered the going part everytime she asks 🤣

17 month old boy and he points to diaper when he's gone pee and points with vocals when he's pooped. He knows the potty, but only sits on it for fun, not actual use yet. He loves to flush the big toilet and close the lid after maman uses it. He also wipes himself when we do his diaper changes and knows that maman/papa need paper when using toilet. When 'in the buff' he will watch himself pee while standing (just like dad... Lol), but can't stop mid stream to race to potty. He's shown interest and communicates when he goes but not before/ebough warning to get him stripped down and onto potty/toilet. All in due time, still young. Also,.rumour has it, boys take longer and/or are potty trained later than girls (average) - don't come for me please Wishing you success. One note: I've been back at work since mid-December (full time) and know we'd be further along with potty training if I were SAHM. Such is life. Rolling with it.
