Try to find swaddles that fit, I think they have preemie ones.. my boy was small, born at 39 weeks, he was breech and since day 1 he had that newborn curl or whatever it’s called.. I think it’s safe, as long as he can’t roll to his stomach. Our baby has always slept on his side.. the covering of the face with fabric does not sound good though… face should be clear of anything that could block it. You can also just swaddle his legs, keep his arms out if thats more comfortable for him…
He Is SOOO CUUUTTTEEE 🥺🥺🥺🥺
My first was like that! She was born at 34 weeks and preferred her side haha. I put her in the warm flannel pajamas. But the sleep sack from love to dream seemed to work for her at that stage.
@Rebecca thank you! Definitely going to purchase :)
@Ki thank you!! ❤️🥹
@Grace yes he likes his arms out, so I’ll definitely look into finding a preemie swaddle. Thank you!
It’s just the newborn scrunch! Mine did it too. I think what I was told, is if the baby moves into the position themselves, from their back, then you can leave them there. It’s impossible to move a scrunched baby onto their back sometimes! It’s perfectly safe to leave, their arms and legs are bent so will stop him from rolling on his front xx
My second would not sleep on his back, he would always turn to his side, even made it to his tummy a few times which really freaked me out.
My baby was born at 37 weeks and would sleep like this too. She's 12m now and is actually sleeping just like this for a nap 🤣 But on her left side, funny cuz I sleep like this too
@Favi yea his dad is a side sleeper maybe that’s why he does that 😂😂
He’s also so small his swaddles won’t fit. They constantly cover his nose and mouth so I just keep him in sleepers or gowns at night
