The way we found out my little guy was is he was covered in rashes, had horrible painful gas, would be in crying pain and the mucus stool. We had to take a diaper sample in to verify microscopic blood in it.
The peadatriciton said to me every baby is different and sometimes they don’t meet those ‘text book’ symptoms. The symptoms we suspected on my little boy were constipation, dry/rashy(sometimes) cheeks and congestions and silent reflux which obviously makes him gag and cough. The dietitian told me they need at least three symptoms for it to be suspected intolerance /cmpa. The only real way you would know is if you went dairy free and then re challenged to see if the symptoms returned. X
I don’t have any info on the milk allergy, but for the blowouts, maybe try a different diaper brand or maybe a size up from what she’s wearing
@Kelsey I’ve tried many brands and did go up a size, still happens 😂
What size is she currently wearing in the nappies? Looks like they’re sitting quite low in the hips - after one too many blowouts, I make sure that her belly button is just covered by her nappy when I change her so that if she does poo and it’s heavy, there’s less chance of a blow out! Her poo looks completely normal to me but maybe both our babies are a little intolerant - I did try my baby with dairy free milk but it made no difference! Size 2 pampers were perfect for my LG at that age but gosh they’re expensive so we went for size 3 mamia instead and still in those currently! (She’s 3 months now)
It took us 16 months my son’s ’silent reflux’ was actually CMPA. We’d been seen by the GP since he was 4 weeks old and usually once or twice a month thereafter, had a paediatrician appointment at 12 months & they suggested it was silent reflux & if he hadn’t already grown out of it he’d do so by the time he was 2.. He had none of the typical expected reactions and instead sneezed constantly, itchy eyes, runny nose but the most problematic of all was an overnight cough that for 12 months started at 2am on the dot & kept him awake all night, that then worsened to 10pm by the time he was 13 months & after removing dairy from his diet for a few days at 16 months it was clear as day that was the issue all along!
The poo itself looks normal from what I can see of it The gagging sounds like silent reflux so you may want to ask gp to trial something so that snd Congestion for a month could be hayfever Although every baby is different and you baby could have a slight allergy only way to know is trialling cmpa formula
The poo would be mucus like. Almost like raw egg whites mixed in the poo.
