Our daughter just turned 18 months and is waking up sometimes at night crying or shouting out which she didn’t used to before. Is this normal for this age?

She has been eating like a horse right now. We think she’s in a growth spurt
My 18 month old is the same. He will no longer sleep in his own bed, he's never slept through but now he'll only sleep if I'm right next to him. I can't even leave his room before he wakes.
