@Abigail so do you think I should go for as much as I can? I'm guessing it was useful to have a good stash?
I use these little pots over syringes as it’s so much easier to catch, they are also 10ml. With my first I was filling them after a week and tonight got 5ml on one boob on my first attempt. Defo worth investing. Also from Amazon and sterile. Link here: Sterifeed Colostrum Collection... https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07RYV7SL4?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
@Zoe 100% hun can never have to much of it 🙃 xx
@Jen perfect thank you! That's great!
I just took a breastfeeding workshop through our hospital and someone asked ‘how much is too much?’ The answer was on average the midwife sees between like 4-10 syringes, they have space in their freezer for about 8 syringes per baby but no more. One lady brought in like 100 and it was just unnecessary. The more risk factors (GD, small baby, early baby etc.) the more likely you are to need it, but remember it is just a backup and better to put baby on the boob when possible (Obviously not a bad thing if you have more at home in your own freezer!)
@Allie yea agree only take 4-5 to the hospital 👍🏼 specially helps when your milk isn’t fully in, I used all mine with my boy was helpful as he had tongue tie xx
I bought mine off Amazon exact same ones as the midwives give out 👍🏼 it’s liquid gold and can be used for literally everything ! Baby eczema, baby acne, sore bums, cradle cap and for when they are ill ect I stored loads in my last pregnancy and hoping to do the same this time 🙃 xx
