We give our 6 week old son mylicon, tummy time also helps with gas and tires him out a bit so he takes a good nap. We also swaddle him when he's sleeping
@Maggie oh I’ll definitely look into massages? Do you only do it once a day? If so, when?
@Nilo we use the halo swaddle but he’s till kicks his legs up since the leg part is more like a sack :/
@Nilo do you us the mylocin before or after every feed or just certain times of the day like morning or before bed?
I do it after every other feeding! Gripe water as needed usually once a week she only gets it on her bad days when nothing else works:)
(Only massage during the day)
I do mylicon and make sure I hold him in an upright position for 15-30 mins after a feeding. If I don’t get the gas out of him I lay him down (so the gas moves) until he fusses then pick him back up to burp him and 9/10 times it works. I would also look into the type of formula you’re giving him, if you’re breastfeeding/pumping look at the foods you’re eating (like dairy or spicy foods) Hope this helps!
Infant mylicom
We put the mylicon directly in his bottle so he gets it during the feed. We put it in every other bottle
Use mylicon drops right before the feed. Keep up upright 30 mins after and try to get a good burp. Sometimes they wake up because of the gas and the gas popping from the drops.
You can do gripe water! Look up massages also. My daughter has to be massaged daily on her tummy! She sleeps so much better now that I do it!
