My son had exactly the same thing and was the same age. I got seen at the hospital and they said it was nothing to worry about and it’s just the baby getting used to moving their muscles and it went eventually. I was very worried as well so I took videos when it was happening which helped the doctors so I’d advise doing that and getting seen just to ease your mind xxx
Thank you,I was going to ring on Monday, she’s due her 6 week check soon too,I feel all new to this again after having a 18 year break 😂I feel nervous about everything at the minute lol xx
My baby did it when she in my tummy! Nothing to worry about xx
@Georgina those were hiccups. Way different btw, but both normal lol
My baby girl does this too and the health visitor said it’s completely normal as their nervous system is still developing
My bubba did does this too but its getting a little less frequent as time goes on at 7 nearly 8 weeks. Its their nervous system sorting itself out. I had to remind myself of this after a large age gap between my now middle bub and my now youngest. Ask your GP or HV if you want peace of mind.
@Monét I could tell the difference between hiccups and a shaking feeling
@Georgina seizures in utero are suuuuper rare. And if your baby just shakes like normal newborn due to their immature nervous system, it most likely wasn’t a seizure. Now if your provider told you that’s what’s going on, ignore me 🤷🏾♀️
I didn’t mention anything about seizures? I’m not sure what you’re saying. I knew when she had hiccups and I knew when her legs shook because of her stretching?
This is normal in newborns. Nervous system is still all out of whack. Call the doctor for peace of mind
