Need ideas as well please share your thoughts
Once I get to my 6 week postpartum appointment, I'm deciding on getting the Mirena IUD, it's good for 7 years
@Ellie Chavez-Eaton same! I had one before and was lucky enough not to get a period on it
@Kelly I had one before as well and loved it so that's why I'm choosing to get another one
Progesterone-only pill (mini pill) isn’t know to affect milk supply
I’m doing mirena as I had it before, and I’m on the waitlist for a tubal. (Hubby has a kid, I have one, and we just had one together)
@Ellie Chavez-Eaton @Kelly do you know if it has sent effect on breastfeeding?
@Katrina going to look into this. Have you taken before?
@Danielle this is what I was thinking also.
@Brooke I have no idea but they asked me at the hospital what my intention was and when I said it they didn't mention it having that side effect
@Brooke no it doesn’t.
@Brooke the mini pill is less effective and has to be taken at the same time every day.
@Gabrielle ohh I can’t commit to taking it at the same time every day so let me scratch that off the list.
@Brooke yeahhh, I can’t either.

Definitely get on protection, I have Irish twins because of this 😂😂😂
I rather take the pill I don't want them doctors putting anything in me .. iud an other things
@Tracy any bad experiences 🥲🥲don’t scare me
@Pamela no just a csection I had with my delivers ..I just wanna avoid extra stuff and just take a pill something easy
Good point, I was inducted, and they gave me more than 9 different types of medications and honestly I do not remember anything about my childbirth so I am also thinking about the birth control because I don’t really know what they are giving me, I mesn it’s safe I know but to many things to my body.. sounds insane 😪😪
@Brooke (not medical advice) I provide birth control options at work daily; it’s typically a really safe and effective method, I’m thinking about starting it at my own follow up. I get great feedback on the IUDs as well, Mirena is now approved for 8 years (that’s my second choice)
I’m getting the non hormonal IUD and plan on probably getting it out after a year to hopefully add a second to my little family 🩷
@Kami my man is terrified of this because I keep talking about how much I loved being pregnant 🤣🤣
@Katrina any particular pill you recommend?
@Autumn this is what I’m wanting to do also.
@Brooke everyone is so different so sometimes you need to try a couple before you find the right one. I used to use Daysee, I liked that you only got a period every 3 months but that one does have estrogen so some people can’t use it
I’m thinking about the non hormonal IUD
