Nesting

I just want to follow this thread for tips, I'm not sure if I have anything you haven't thought of, but I'm a first time mom and could definitely use some tips!

It's funny because I remember ready nesting only happened a few weeks before giving birth, but mine last like my entire pregnancies! I mostly try to make my home comfortable for another baby. Donate dishes and decorations I don't use, wipe down things. And I put all "like" things together as I buy them or am gifted them. So I have all pacifiers together, all bottles in one place, diapers, my frozen breast pads are all together in the freezer, I sort his clothes by size, hang up his jackets, things like that.

My nesting is crazy. I’m buying all new shit for every room 😭 and I just painted my front door bc it was dirty and nothing could get it clean. I’m a maniac

No nesting. Actually trying to hang in there and organize some things. Most FTM over buy things and just trying to think logical :)

I am heavily nesting 26 weeks. First time mom. We have the nursery set up the room painted furniture built clothes and toys separated. I redid our linen closet to fit baby towels and blankets. Our kitchen to fit baby plates cups bottles etc. I got an extra set of rolling drawers for our bedroom for the time we room share and prepared that. Prepped a changing table and diaper stations 2 diaper bags filled and prepped. We purchased furniture for the house to make sure we don’t need anything after baby comes. Ummm we personally set up a home gym so we can workout without depending on a kids club. Stocked up on essentials and hygiene products so that we don’t run out anytime soon. We’ve ordered everything for our baby shower. The only big thing we have left is making a large freezer stash of meal prep to ease that first month post Partum I’m sure there’s more to do so I’m also looking for more to do.

I’m dying to neat but we are about to buy a house so right now I’m trying to just busy myself with crochet baby items and planning. It’s making me a little crazy though. 😂

@Aubry if you can’t nest I would inventory. I thought I had so much until I went through it

With my first I went on a crazy cleaning spree at the very end of my pregnancy. I started at the ceilings and deep cleaned everything down to the floor- I'll never forget my husband coming home to find me scrubbing every light switch and him just laughing (lovingly). So far this time around it's coming in stages- like right when I found out I was obsessed with buying clothes. A few weeks later I had to get a comfy blanket. Then it was taking inventory of what we already had...etc. but I'm still waiting for the intense "clean from ceiling to floor" to set in- though I suspect it will sometime in Sept/Oct. I also remember giving my dogs multiple baths and deep cleaning the cars! 😆

So far I've only reorganized my bedroom (moved bed/dresser/nightstand) to open up some space; done Round 1 of cleaning/clearing out my drawers & closets. I still need to clear some stuff out of my storage to make room for the casesssss of diapers & wipes currently in my livingroom; reorg the linen closet, kitchen cabinets & drawes, etc.

I’ve been nesting slowly but steady….mainly bc I just wanna relax and enjoy my last trimester. Holiday season is stressful enough so I don’t wanna be insanely exhausted the last feel weeks prepping then head into thanksgiving and Christmas lol
