Bedtime nappies

Hey! Looking for a bit of advice/help. My daughter drinks like a fish (at least 15 bottles a day) Which is amazing butttt…through the day we’re potty trained if at home with no nappy on. On a night she leaks through her nappies that bad, she’s soaking wet, her bed and toys are drenched to the point this is waking her up and I’m having to do a full change through the middle of the night. Has anyone got any suggestions??

Did you try pampers for night time?

Yes, tried pampers and pampers pants, she’s currently in pampers protection - all leak through

I just make sure my little girl isn’t drinking much in the last hour before bed as we had similar problem. Around this age they should only be drinking like 4 or 5 cups of water a day I think, so perhaps you could cut down but I’m sure it’s fine. Also we find pull ups better than nappies so if you don’t use pull ups maybe try that! X

@Beth also tried all this🫣 running out of options🫠🤣

Maybe reusable nappies? I’ve heard they are better for leaking

@Beth I’ll try anything at this point lol, thank you xx

In all honest 15 bottles / cups of liquid a day is far too much …. Have you checked for any medical conditions ? Just to be safe ? Xx x

I think all you can do is limit water before bed really. Is she withholding wee in the day, do you think? A waterproof reusable nappy cover would help an occasional leak, but if she's soaking, nothing is going to. Or put 2 nappies on? I do agree it sounds like she drinks a lot. I know some children are thirstier than others but might be worthwhile keeping an eye / chat with the GP. Particularly if it's every day... Good luck 💛

@Harriet through the day I leave her without a nappy on so she can use potty. She’s just that active she’s gets thirsty

@Jade yes doctors said it’s fine if she wants to drink water - no harm

If you do try reusable I would go for bamboozle night nappies and you can add a peanut pad in as an extra too for that extra bit of absorption! You just need those and a wrap!

@Lauren whenever I’ve had my son in pampers he leaks through them even if they’re his size I use the Aldi nappies and they are brilliant they hold so much

@Lauren I’ve tried every brand possible!! Pampers protect seem to be the best but still are shocking x

@Lauren I know this is a silly question but have you tried sizing up?? Maybe like 2 sizes? X

@Lauren yeah, tried sizing up and when she wees it literally pours out the sides🫠

We have to double nappy with our lb. I use a nappy 2 sizes up from his day one and also a pull up over the top of that. Only thing I've found works

Have you tried Libero comfort? They can be difficult to find, but they’re worth it :)

Thanks guys! Pampers protect and some thick potty training pants are doing the trick (for now) ☺️🥰

@Lauren just curious how you’ve managed to potty train her in the day? My little one is pretty bright button but no idea where to start at 18 months, I’d love to try!

@Harriet honestly I have no advice! I literally just have the potty out and took her nappy off. She did a couple of wees down her legs and she really didn’t like it so started sitting on the potty. We do massive cheers when she’s done something and she love the attention xx
