Birth control

Hi all I'm wondering if any of you have tried natural cycles app as a form of birth control. I'm considering purchasing a subscription and an oara ring to best track basal temps but wanted to hear some opinions. I have had a lot of problems with hormonal birth control both mentally and physically and am looking for a better option. Obviously doing nothing doesn't work and I already have really heavy periods so I'm not sure the increase in that from the copper iud could be manageable for me.

So personally I have really heavy periods too and I started birth control bc I had my period 3 months straight. I started with the non hormonal pill, moved to the non hormonal IUD. Switched back to the pill, got pregnant, and now I’ll be going back to the non hormonal IUD and last time I was on it 5 years and it completely stopped my periods all together. Only thing I will say is if your partner is “above average” down there the IUD might not be the best call for you bc you’ll both feel when it gets hit and it SUCKS 😂😅

I'd get a regular thermometer because skin temperature is not as accurate as internal. For everyday use skin temp is usually fine, but for this you want it to be the most accurate if it's your only method of birth control. Plus it's significantly cheaper than the oura ring (unless you just want the ring anyway)

@Kate hi the reason I was thinking the ring over the thermometer is because I'm currently breastfeeding my baby girl and have irregular sleep patterns at night and for the one time measurement in the morning with the internal thermometer results can be inaccurate as you're supposed to have hours of uninterrupted sleep before hand. Where the ring would measure temps throughout the night and find the basal temp if it's even at a different time is what I'm thinking. Plus I've had a hard time waking to any kind of alarm that isn't my baby crying. I guess I'm just kind of looking for anyone that's had experience using this method while breastfeeding and how they managed accurate results with either thermometer type.

Try neem oil in pill form or you can insert. I keep hearing about It and thats what I'm going to try. I am not getting pregnant for atleast 3 or 4 years from now lol
