I use dove unscented

In the shower i spread my lips and i use my fingers to clean discharge around my bean, peel my cap back and clean there too. i go in with my ph vaginal wash with boric acid and i repeat the same thing with a wash cloth. i dont go inside my vagina, just all the nooks and crannies outside. then i do my booty lol. i save my privates for last, idk why i just always did it that way.

A gentl unscented body wash. I usually use aveno baby body wash. Do not put anything even a PH cleanser into your vagina without talking to your Gyn first. And always clean front to back

Try a baby soap bar, like Dr bronners. Only wash the outside (labia, vulva) with soap and just use water and/or wet cloth for the inside. I think I might over clean my vagina because I def stick my fingers inside when I do, but it should never burn or hurt and nothing scented should ever go near there

I use vagisil unscented!

All you need is water 💦 Your body is clean, we don't need chemicals

I’ve never been taught either. I do a shitload of reading and by trial and error. All those sites that tell you tips to prevent UTI, thrush, to keep the vagina healthy and the PH balanced, all states to just use water. Inside is self cleansing, outside onIy needs water and whatever shampoo bubbles running down your head.

@Kait Louise thats wild. Pls use soap ladies. Not the inside just between ur legs & crotch area. Its hot outside so keep it clean & drink lots of water 💦

I use soap & never had an issue with ph balance unless i was sexually active with my bd

@honey honey beauty companies may you believe you need to use soap because they make $. You don't need anything, it affects your pH levels and causes all sorts of problems. Do you think ladies used to wash with soap back when there was no soap? Their vaginas were just fine and probably a lot healthier

@Annika it's so sad this is even a product! Nothing wrong with a vagina smelling like a vagina 💕

Dove unscented. But every other day. So one day with the dove the next day with water. Unless I’m sweating or played sports then I’ll do it that day regardless. Also if you’re sexually active! Vaginas are self cleaning but it’s easy to get caught up in extra bacteria down there based on what you are doing in your daily life. I live in Texas and it’s hot allll the time plus I play sports. I have to use it but when I lived up north I didn’t have the sweating problems and stuff like I have now. But I do my booty everyday lol.

@honey https://www.self.com/story/best-way-to-clean-vagina This article is so spot on!!

@Kait Louise when there was no soap, people used to take a yearly bath and share bath water. now imagine that smell all through the town. thankfully there is ph balancing soaps & things. some yoni’s need some more tlc than just water. especially after childbirth that lochia smell 🫨

I wasn’t properly taught either but I figured it out by myself after being sick and tired of yeast infections. Eat or drink activa twice a day or take probiotics for your internal vaginal health to help it clean itself aka maintain homeostasis Edit: and for external clean, use the summer eves and wash your vagina with it over soap. Soap threw off my ph balance. Just don’t go inside any holes. You can use this over your whole body but I don’t. It’s expensive and I only use it for my vagina. And regular body wash for the rest of me

@Kait Louise telling girls not to wash their coochi is wild 🤣🤣🤣 j bc u have no issues with it doesnt mean another girl wont catch a yeast infection from not cleaning her coochie like are u one of those ppl who doesnt clean their legs either bc the “soap runs down ur legs already”

A vagina is self cleaning girls. The SKIN around ur VAGINA on the outside is NOT ur VAGINA though. Thats called your VULVA. PLEASE CLEAN YALL VULVAS BC A VULVA IS NOT SELF CLEANING LIKE A VAGINA. ITS LITERALLY SKIN SITTING IN UR JEANS ALL DAY AND ITS HOT OUTSIDE. PLEASE WASH IT GIRLS

I use a special soap that's specifically for that area and then just quickly/gently scrub over I don't always need it though, in which case water is enough

I use Saforelle since I am a baby my mother washed me with this. Very famous brand in France. You need a very gentle Neutral PH product specifically made for this area though ;) Body wash is too harsh for this area! xx

@Mary 🤡👽🦹🏽‍♀️ i thought summers eve was so bad for you that’s what everyone has ever told me

Like I said, I taught myself 🫣. And I’m seeing others suggestions on here too. I personally haven’t had a yeast infection in years or irritation. I assume it’s just everyone is different and do what works best for you? As long as I’m not itchy down there I’m going to stick to my routine. For me I feel like it’s about not throwing off your pH and it doesn’t do it to me but soaps do. Try everything until you find your method love

@honey I literally shower every day. Water is all you need to wash it. You have been fooled to think you need anything else.

@Kait Louise it depends from one woman to another :) I washed without soap too and I used to have thrushs. I use now the soap I mentioned above for years and zero thrush and my doctor told me ''you do you and if it's what's best for you there isn't any reasons why you should stop using this product''. If no soap for you works well, then stick to it and good for you :) For me for example, it doesn't!
