Overfeeding formula baby?

How much are we feeding in total our formula fed babies? For reference, my little boy was 10.3lbs born and has always been in the highest percentile for weight and is off the chart for his height 😭 Now that he’s 17 weeks and is around 20lbs. He’s been having 7oz every 2.5/3 hours. The last two feeds of the night are around 7 and 9 though as it helps him sleep through the night. In total he’s roughly having either 47oz or 49oz per day. I’m so conscious that I could be overfeeding him but he loves his milk and is actually screaming for it. Long story short: is this too much for him? He’s always been a big baby anyways so I’m assuming his stomach can handle it?

I firmly believe babies don’t overfeed if you listen to their queues like pushing away bottles and not tipping the bottle so the flow is super super fast (ie pace feeding.) - and it sounds like you’re feeding in demand which is normal and not overfeeding. My little guy is very long but he was 8lbs 5oz and he is now 17.6lbs as of last week. He also sometimes eats 9oz and sometimes eats 3OZ. But he eats a LOT more than my little girl ever did. And she’s a very healthy sized toddler and fed on demand and she struggled to gain weight the first three months.

And remember some mums dream feed to get their baby drinking more to sleep through and no one considers this overfeeding.

I feel like this sometimes. My little girl was 9.4 when born and is now over 15 pounds at 15 weeks she is just really hungry lol she's having 6 ounces every 2 hours atm although she sleeps 10-12 hour stretches. Sometimes she takes less or goes longer I just follow her. They know what they need xx
